Which reports are available?

Actionable intelligence

These reports give you the insight you need to know how your actions are performing, which images are most/least popular, consent decisions and more. They also include costs. If you use sender-pay and pay payments will also be included.

If there is a report you wish to see that isn't on the list or you have an idea for improving the report, let us know.

Reports available:

  1. Actions by recipient: for actions with more than one possible recipient (e.g. politicians, GPs) this shows how many postcards have been written to each recipient. Action: if you want to reach all possible recipients, reach out to supporters who could write to missing/low volume recipients
  2. Yes responses by question: the percent answering 'Yes' to each of the questions. This usually reflects consent but depends on how the question is worded (what do yes/no refer to) and what the question is about (e.g. consent, poll) Action: If the questions are performing lower than expected, clarify and refine the question. Perhaps these people have already consented and don't feel they need to do it again.
  3. Action journey: the number of people who completed each step. 'image' means they selected an image and 'message' means they completed the message. This excludes landing page visitors as this is available only in the analytics tool since nothing is recorded in the database until the visitor does something (e.g. selects an image and proceed to the next step). Action: if the conversion is below PostBug's benchmark, consider refining the text and the promotional communication. It should also be compared to past participation rates of the same profile os supporter with similar action characteristics.
  4. Actions by image: how many completed actions for each image. Action: use that one for further promotion and/or perhaps replace other images.
  5. Daily actions: daily action completion numbers. If sender-pay and pay-forward are used, it will include payments per day. Action: determine how long to wait before re-promoting the action or closing it.
  6. Actions by device: how many completions by device (mobile, desktop, tablet, etc.) Action: if the action is underperming vs benchmarks on any specific device, it might need refining such as shortening the text so that mobile visitors get to the action faster.

What else would you like to know about the actions? If you use URL tracking tags you could also get reports on those or other dimensions of the data.
