What paper are PostBug postcards and letters printed on?

Each country and printer has different environmental and climate certifications. Thus we find and use the best available standards with each printer.

In general this means using digital printers with recyclable paper stock. Above this, printers offer a variety of options including:

  • Recycled paper stock (aka post consumer waste)
  • FSC certified or equivolent
  • Some printers offer options like vegetable inks, acid free, heavy metal absence CE 94/62, long life ISO 9706 and elemental chlorine free, carbon offsetting and more.
  • Postcards have a high quality look and feel on thick paper (letters are on normal printer paper)
  • Postcards are full colour glossy format on thick 'card stock' (350 gsm) paper and letters on 80-100 gsm paper.
  • Letters are up to two sides of text and then folded into a stamped envelope
