Action page translations and tweaks

Most content is directly editable in the Locize platform: a specialised tool for localisation (l8n) and internationalisation (i10n).

This allows tailoring all text elements to your needs if needed. This includes titles, instructions, error messages, action content, and organisational content like footer information, privacy statement links, etc.

Locize first-time setup

  1. Create an account with your professional email address at https://www.locize.app/register

Then setup your Two Factor Authentication (2FA):

  1. Login to Locize.app
  2. Click the top-right circle with your initials in it ('Change your profile' if you hover over it)To the right of the "Two-factor authentication" title (= 2FA) you will see three dots.
  3. Choose a 2FA option. e.g. 'Enable TOTP' (time-based-one-time-passcode)
  4. Scan the barcode with your preferred authentication app (e.g. Authy, Google Authenticator) Enter in the TOTP code. See Locize instructions for detailed guidance.
  5. Go to the action content: Once this is done, return to the 'dashboard' (e.g. click the Locize logo in the top left) and you will be able to click on your action name(s) and see existing content and options for editing the content.

Content editing and translating

If you need to tweak the default action page copy or have the action in multiple languages and/or for multiple locales (e.g. countries to customise postcode (UK), postal code (Canada) and ZIP code (US)) then Locize is designed to do exactly this role. This means you can provide access to translators or local content editors who can adapt and/or translate content specifically for that language or locale.

What cannot be edited in Locize are:

  1. Action title and description for the base page and social media sharing
  2. Postcard / action images
  3. Message text
  4. Questions like consent or polls
  5. Payment option text
  6. Parts of the completion page: redirect URL, social media images and links

PostBug currently needs to update these until the self-configuration system is in place (Q1 of 2025).
